Approximately 54% of eyecare patients in Europe were found to have Demodex blepharitis1*, yet it often goes undetected. Collarettes are the key diagnostic, pathognomonic sign of Demodex blepharitis (DB) and can be identified during a routine slit lamp exam2. Through the “Look at the Lids” campaign, we highlight how a simple change in routine – asking patients to look down – exposes the upper lid margin. By integrating this systematic check into your daily workflow, you can easily find the signs that may be hiding right in front of you.

*Data from an evaluation of 804 patients from 6 countries in Europe, including 15 clinicians each with ~50 consecutive patients. DB was defined by the presence of collarettes.
